The B.M. DAS Memorial Lectures were held annually during the Leather Research Industry Get-together (LERIG) to honour the memory of the first Director of CLRI, Rai Bahadur Prof. Biraj Mohan Das upto 2018. Since 2019 onwards the BM Das Memorial Lectures are held on 24th April on the occasion of CSIR-CLRI foundation day.
